We are very excited to announce that WHAT Fest XV will be moving to a new home just outside of Centennial, Wyoming. The dates for 2018 will be July 27th and 28th.
We would like to thank the communities of Riverside and Encampment for their support over the past 6 years. We would not be where we are today without Riverside. A special thanks to the Bear Trap and Margaret Weber for giving us a home and helping us to grow. We would also like to thank Rocky, Dana, the rest of theRiverside Garage and Cabins family, as well as Leroy and Lee Ann from Lazy Acres Campground, Jolene Pavelka and anyone who was part of the festival over the past 6 years in Carbon County. Thank you! Again, much love and appreciation from all of us in the WHAT Fest Family!
Organic growth is a key to longevity within the festival world and live music in general. For WHAT Fest, it’s time for a change in order to keep moving down our envisioned path of growth and sustainability, allowing us to continue to bring WHAT Fest to the State of Wyoming for years to come. We believe, WHAT Fest is an essential part of the Wyoming musical community, offering a platform for up and coming musicians to share a lineup with some of the larger Wyoming artists and touring national acts. This has become a tradition and a summer destination, not just for locals or artist, but for hundreds of patrons from all around. We have outgrown our current situation in Riverside and that growth has leveled in the past couple years to an unsustainable level with sponsors, volunteers and band affordability within our current setup. This has forced us to seek out a new home for the festival that allows this tradition to continue for us Wyomingites.
We are extremely excited to announce that WHAT Fest 2018 will take place at the Huffer Hideout, just outside Centennial, Wyoming! We will still offer the same great WHAT Fest experiences, just in a beautiful new location!
A special thanks to the Huffer Family for the willingness and excitement to host the WHAT Fest in 2018!
